My name is Carlos Femmer. I live in Lafayette, Louisiana and currently the Director of Data Acquisition for HDR Engineering. Prior to joining HDR, I served as President of John Chance Land Surveys, Inc (Fugro) where I oversaw various aspects of development, innovation, operations and strategic endeavors across the company’s land survey and airborne divisions.
I lead the delivery of HDR’s data acquisition expertise across the company which includes survey, UAV (drones), LiDAR, Hydrography, Reality Mesh and other data acquisition services. Over the past 20 years, I have been adept at dentifying and implementing emerging technologies to ease the client experience with data collection, data management and project delivery.
I use this site to publish a variety of misc topics (e.g. Drones, AI, Digital Twins, Big Data, etc.) that I hope people will find interesting and useful.
